Comstock Resources Inc. (CRK) has initiated development of its Eagle Ford shale acreage in Atascosa, Karnes and McMullen counties in South Texas. Comstock has drilled the Rancho Tres Hijos #1H in McMullen county to a vertical depth of 11,020 feet with a 4,091 lateral and has drilled the NWR #1H in Atascosa county to a vertical depth of 8,715 feet with a 5,209 foot lateral. These wells are scheduled for completion in November. Comstock is currently drilling its third Eagle Ford shale well in Karnes county.

Enterprise Product Partners (EPD) and Chesapeake Energy Corp (CHK): Eagle Ford Shale Update

Enterprise Products Partners L.P. (EPD) recently announced that they recently entered into a 10-year agreement with Chesapeake Energy Corp. (CHK) to handle a large portion of their natural gas production in the Eagle Ford Shale:
Chesapeake's gross acreage position currently comprises more than 625,000 acres in and around the oil and natural gas liquids - rich areas of the Eagle Ford Shale across Dimmit, LaSalle, McMullen, Webb, and Zavala counties located in South Texas. The agreements provide Chesapeake with a comprehensive package of midstream natural gas and NGL services, including firm commitments for gas transportation, processing, and NGL transportation and fractionation services.
"We are extremely pleased with our new agreements with Chesapeake, which represent one of the largest single producer commitments to date for Enterprise in the Eagle Ford Shale," said Michael A. Creel, Enterprise's president and chief executive officer. "The deal with Chesapeake marks the fifth major midstream transaction Enterprise has executed with Eagle Ford Shale producers in the past year, reflecting the strategic importance of our integrated and expanding assets serving the various demands of producers in the prolific region."
Enterprise has previously announced long-term commitments with Petrohawk, EOG, Anadarko and Pioneer.
Chesapeake's NGL-rich natural gas will initially be gathered and compressed by Chesapeake affiliate, Chesapeake Midstream Development, LLC, for delivery to a central location. Enterprise will then transport and process the NGL-rich gas at its existing facilities while a previously announced natural gas processing plant that is currently under development in Texas is completed. This cryogenic processing facility, expected to be completed early in 2012, is designed for an initial capacity of 600 million cubic feet per day (MMcf/d) and with an initial capability to extract as many as 75,000 barrels per day (BPD) of NGLs.
The NGL production from Chesapeake's gas will ultimately be transported on Enterprise's previously announced 127-mile NGL pipeline that will extend from the new gas processing plant to Enterprise's NGL fractionation complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. This new NGL pipeline, also scheduled for completion in early 2012, is expected to have an initial capacity of more than 85,000 BPD and would be readily expandable to over 120,000 BPD.
Activity in the Eagle Ford Shale continues to increase as approximately 115 rigs working in the play have drilled more than 330 wells completed to date. Total current production from the play is estimated at approximately 425 MMcf/d of natural gas and 35,000 BPD of crude oil and condensate.

Carrizo Oil & Gas Announces Initial Production Rates for Its First Two Eagle Ford Shale Wells and Updates Niobrara Activity.
11/30/2010 -- Carrizo Oil & Gas, Inc. (NASDAQ: CRZO) today is providing an operational update on the Company's activities in the Eagle Ford Shale and Niobrara Formation. Carrizo's initial two Eagle Ford Shale wells were drilled from a common surface location in central La Salle County, Texas. The Mumme Ranch 10H was drilled with a 5,493 foot horizontal leg and was completed with 15 frac stages. The Mumme Ranch 12H was drilled with a 5,455 foot horizontal leg and was completed with 19 frac stages. Following the flow-back of completion fluids, the two wells were tested for production potential beginning on November 20, 2010. The Mumme 10H had a 24-hour initial production rate of 1,011 barrels of oil per day ("Bopd") while the Mumme 12H had a 24-hour initial production rate of 1,220 Bopd. Production from this two-well pad appears to have stabilized at the current combined rate of approximately 1,125 barrels of oil per day. Approximately 2 million cubic feet per day of 1,367 btu per mcf natural gas is currently being flared pending connection to a gas gathering pipeline. Carrizo has a 100% working interest and a 75% net revenue interest in these two wells.
Hydraulic fracture stimulation activities have been completed on the Company's next Eagle Ford well, the Pierce 10H, located to the southwest of the Mumme wells, and the well has commenced flow-back today. It is currently anticipated that initial production results for this well should be available before the end of the year. Carrizo owns approximately 20,000 net acres in the Eagle Ford Shale play, the majority of which are located in the condensate window of La Salle, Dimmit, and McMullen Counties. In addition to the three wells mentioned in this announcement, Carrizo has drilled two other Eagle Ford horizontal wells in La Salle County which are currently waiting on completion, expected to begin in the first quarter of 2011.

McMullen County, TX: Eagle Ford Shale Update

Doxa Energy, Ltd. (DXAEF.PK) recently released an operational update announcing the completion of the Epley No. 1-H, a horizontal Eagle Ford well located in McMullen County, Texas. The well was recently shut-in for final hookup, pipeline and facility construction. Prior to shut-in, the well was being flowed back on a restricted choke (14/64") at a rate of 400 BOEPD (energy equivalent of 250 BOPD, 900 MCFD and 250 BWPD) with a flowing casing pressure of 1,920 psi, and approximately 15% of the frac load water recovered after two weeks of flow. Initial sales of oil production from the Epley well have commenced and the Company plans to release additional details once the well has been placed back on production with facility construction complete. Based on confirmation of commercially viable results on this initial well, Doxa expects that up to 5 gross wells may ultimately be drilled on the Epley Project.

Petrohawk Energy Corp. (HK) recently completed a new well in the Eagle Ford Shale, located in McMullen County, Texas:
Antares Energy is pleased to advise Petrohawk Energy Coroporation (HK) has completed the first well in the Term Assignment Area, the Donnell 457 No. 1H. The well had an initial, 24-hour production rate of 563 bo/d and 3,628 mcf/d equating to a rate of 1,168 boe/d. The well had a flowing tubing pressure of 4,580 psi on a restricted 16/64” choke.
The Donnell 457 No. 1H was completed over a measured depth interval between 12,062 ft and 15,871 ft with over 3,000,000 pounds of proppant and 2,700,000 gallons of fluid.
Additionally, Petrohawk has commenced drilling operations on the second Term Assignment well, the Dilworth No. 1H. The Dilworth No. 1H is a direct downdip offset to the Frances Dilworth No. 2H and is planned to be the longest Eagle Ford shale horizontal well to date with a lateral length of over 8,000 ft.

Doxa Energy Ltd. (DXA.V) recently announced that they have successfully completed multi-stage fracture stimulation on the Epley #1H in Mcmullen County, Texas in the Eagle Ford shale. Flow back of the well has commenced. Doxa management has not yet reported results, but will do so when all operations are complete. Pipeline and facility construction is under way as a result of the establishment of commercial production from the Epley project. The Epley #1H is the first horizontal well in which Doxa has participated within the prolific Eagle Ford Shale trend of South Texas. Doxa owns a 15% working interest with a respective 11.25% net revenue interest under this project, which is operated by San Isidro Development Company. Subject to commercially viable results on this initial well, Doxa expects that up to 5 gross wells may ultimately be drilled on the Epley project.

Comstock Resources Inc. (CRK) has acquired or is in the process of closing on 18,000 net acres that they feel are prospective for development in the emerging Eagle Ford Shale play in Karnes, McMullen, and Atascosa counties in South Texas. They are focusing primarily on the oil and condensate windows in this play due to the better economics of oil versus natural gas. They hope to acquire additional 10,000 net acres in our focus area. Given expected well spacing of 80,000 acres and an expected per well recovery of 400,000 barrels of oil per well, Comstock's acreage could have 67 million barrels of oil equivalent of reserve potential. They plan to move one of their Haynesville rigs to the South East Texas region and expect to drill three Eagle Ford Shale wells on the acreage by the end of this year.
In 2011 after they have completed their leasing activities, they plan to have a two to three rig program to develop their Eagle Ford Shale acreage.

Petrohawk Energy (HK) announced that they foresee a positive future in their Eagle Ford Shale sector in their 2010 Earnings call:
"Also, we expect to see a meaningful oil production component grow, fueled from new areas of our portfolio. Our growing Black Hawk area in the Eagle Ford Shale and our Red Hawk project, also in Eagle Ford Shale, should provide for this growth. This could bring the oil component of production to approximately 5% by year end and possibly much higher in future years. We will look for these higher-margin oil areas to meaningfully support cash flow growth and organic reserve growth."
The growing company experienced their highest level of operating activity in the Eagle Ford Shale to date. Last quarter, they operated an average of 7.5 rigs and drilled 19 wells, 11 in Hawkville, seven in Black Hawk and one in Red Hawk.
