Marcellus Shale: New York Drilling Update

August 12, 2010: New York State Senate voted to extend the moratorium to hault the issuance of gas drilling permits last Tuesday, August 3. The vote was in response to concerns over contaminating the drinking water leading to New York City residents. The extension will go through May, 2011.
