Devon Energy Corp. (DVN) announced that they brought their first Bossier shale well online in the second quarter of 2010 with a 24-hour IP of about 8 million cubic feet per day.

Devon Energy engages in the exploration, development and production of natural gas and oil. They operate mainly in the mid-continent area of central and south United States. They also operate oil and gas properties in the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia and Saskatchewan, Canada.
